The St. Louis Cardinals have placed infielder Felipe Lopez on the DL with a sore elbow. The Cards have recalled infielder Tyler Greene to fill Lopez’s roster spot.
Lopez is hitting .273/.347/.432 on the year while playing 3 different spots on the infield.
Lopez injured his elbow in early April but didn’t notify club officials it was bothering him until a few days after the club used him as a relief pitcher in the 20 inning game against the Mets.
