Soccer News: Criticisms Starting To Roll In Over World Cup Ball

News

Naturally, goalkeepers are starting to say the ball is difficult to control and will be a nightmare for the keepers.

Adidas responded to the criticisms saying the ball has been in use for months, and until now the feedback on the ball has been positive.

Spain’s Iker Casillas and Brazil’s Julio Cesar have been two of the most vocal against the new ball which has changed behavior drastically since teams have moved onto training in some of the higher altitudes that will be the locations for the World Cup.

Company spokesman Thomas van Schaik said on Monday that all balls change behavior in the higher altitudes and that he feels the company has provided a great ball for the tournament.
