After some rumblings rumors, filmmated D.J. Caruso confirmed on his twitter this week that he is attached to direct an adaption of arguably the most famous thing Garth Ennis has ever written, the ultra violent and vulger Preacher.
The director, known for films like Disturbia, Eagle Eye, and the recently released I Am Number Four, claims to be “fucking pumped” to be a part of the project.
Caruso was also recently attached to a film adaption of Brian K. Vaughan’s epic Y: The Last Man, but left the project after refusing to try and cram the entirety of the source material into a single movie. This actually earned him a lot of point with fans like me, and also leads me to believe that he would enforce a similar stance with Preacher, franchise or bust.
