Combining the powers of all of the Legion, Earthman is able to defeat the blue entity that had been empowering Saturn Queen in recent months.
The thing says that it was created as a result of Krona’s actions, and that he is the curse of the Oans. He calls himself the Serpent of Eden, and the worm that devoured Yggdrasil. I was half expecting him to call himself the God of Fear.
Anyway, Earthman dies a hero defeating him which in turn enables the Legion to save the day. It’s even possible that with Dream Girl’s powers, Earthman knew full well his actions would lead to his own death, and still he did not falter.
Hell of an ending for a guy who debuted as one of the Legions most formidable foes.
