Things worked out pretty well for Allan Green. With Jermain Taylor announcing his departure from Showtime’s Super Six World Boxing Classic last week, a spot was suddenly open in the tournament. Allan Green was rumored to be in line for the opening, provided he defeat Sakio Bika in February. The Green-Bika fight is now scrapped and Allan Green has been announced as the sixth man in the Super Six tournament.
Allan Green not only gains entrance into the high-profile tournament, but his first fight will be for the WBA super middleweight title held by Andre Ward. The fight is scheduled for April 17 in Oakland, CA.
