Godfrey Mangwiza is the people’s champion.
Throughout the course of the season, Godfrey strategy was to law low and let both sides pick each other off while he steered his way to the endgame. While fans at home appreciated the way that Godfrey seemed to effortlessly navigate his way through the game (only winning one veto competition before securing the final HOH), it’s clear that the jury felt like that the psychology student floated his way through the game. After Godfrey decided to evict Ashleigh and choose Sarah Hanlon to sit beside him in front of his peers, he was handed a resounding defeat.
I caught up with Godfrey to discuss his famous “your blood on my hands” speech, if he felt like fans had a better appreciation of his game than his other houseguests did, and he explained his rationale behind taking Sarah to the end. I also asked him to teach me his ‘ready, okay’ dance.
