Sorry Folks, Ruiz Set To Return
by Trent Pusey on October 29, 2009

John Ruiz was initially set on doing anything he could to make sure the Nikolai Valuev-David Haye pay-per-view bout did not occur. Now Ruiz will be a part of it. John Ruiz will fight Adna Serin on the undercard. Ruiz must beat Serin, 19-10-1, in order to gain a WBA title shot against the winner of Valuev-Haye.

Adna Serin is 0-2-1 in his last three fights. It makes perfect sense for Serin to be the guy that Ruiz must defeat in order to earn a title shot. Everything about John Ruiz is a joke now.

The addition of Ruiz-Serin to the PPV undercard makes the decision to not order the event even easier.
