A few days ago we got a first look at War Machine standing back to back with Iron Man. Now Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment have a teaser poster that is using Robert Downey Jr.’s star presence to sell the film to international audiences. These two posters are but hors’devours that will lead to the appetizer of a teaser trailer, which is rumored to be attached to Downey’s Sherlock Holmes this Christmas.
Frankly, I like the first one better, but the “you want to piss me off – seriously?” look on Downey’s face is some serious ownage.
Occurring six months after Tony Stark reveals his identity as Iron Man, this sequel looks to squash the competition come May 2010. Jon Favreau returns as director, from a screenply written by Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder). Downey, of course, is back, as is Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. New to the cast is Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. Don Cheadle plays Rhodey, who was played by Terrence Howard in the first Iron Man.
