Spoiler Warnings: Things To Do In Philly When You're Superman From Superman #701 By J. Michael Straczynski And Eddy Barrows.

Spoilers

Superman’s walk across America has kicked off and Philadelphia is his first stop, so here’s a list of some things he did while he was there.

  • Used his X-Ray vision to help some guys fix a car by identifying the problem as the fuel line.
  • Proved he wasn’t powerless, and thus walking so people wouldn’t notice.
  • Cleaned and organized the storeroom of a Diner in exchange for a Philly Cheesesteak
  • Shut down an entire neighborhood of drug dealers with his heat vision by destroying their stashes from the streets.
  • Identified the erratic heartbeat of a random man he passed by as he walked, telling him to see a Doctor.
  • Spent hours talking with a woman who wanted to kill herself, not forcing her to stop but giving her the chance to calm down enough to talk. He doesn’t sugar coat the truth of life, but he does tell her that if she thinks that things could get better then she shouldn’t die, and she lets him save her.
  • And apparently his goal is to set an example for the American people to be better then they are and not just rely on super-heroes, but that could just be my interpretation.
