NFL News: Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler Suffered Torn MCL In NFC Championship Game

According to reports from NFL.com, Jay Cutler suffered a torn MCL (medial collateral ligament) yesterday in the Chicago Bears’ loss to the Green Bay Packers, 21-14. After the game, questions were rising throughout the league regarding Cutler’s toughness, but this report may just silence said critics.

Cutler stated that he suffered the injury during the interception in the second quarter, and aggravated the injury at the beginning of the third quarter. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI today, and the extent of the injury will be determined sometime this afternoon.
