Chael Sonnen Won’t Be Fighting Mark Munoz – Eyeing Winner of Miller/Bisping Fight
by Scott "Kubryk" Sawitz on December 1, 2011

Fight Hub TV managed to get a couple minutes with UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen, hosting the World MMA Awards. And he dropped two bombshells in that he won’t be fighting Mark Munoz (rumored for UFC on Fox 2) and that he could be facing the winner of Bisping/Miller this weekend.

“I have no fight with Mark Munoz,” Sonnen said flatly. “My next fight will be based on… I don’t know how much I can say, but I will be watching the TV on Saturday night. Put it that way.”

The best guess is that Sonnen will face Michael Bisping in a #1 contender’s fight if the Brit gets past Jason Miller this weekend; with Silva out until the summer and Bisping a fight away from a title shot one imagines that this keeps Chael busy and would be the final step as to whether or not Bisping deserves a title shot.
