Recently in an interview with Memphis’ WMC, Jerry “The King” Lawler spoke about his heart attack and possibly returning to the ring.
Jerry thanked the medical team that was on hand for saving his life. He stated that his heart stopped beating 20 minutes after the attack requiring the medical staff to shock him back to life.
He said he never felt any affects from it and said that heart disease ran in his family.
Lawler claims that his girlfriend has noticed that he has been depressed since being unable to wrestle. A primary reason that he hasn’t been able to get back into the ring is because Jerry is taking blood thinners as a result of the heart attack and can’t get cut. Jerry is waiting for WWE doctors’ clearance before he does anymore matches.
