Derek Hough has always left the acting to his sister, but it appears the Dancing With The Stars vet has Hollywood ambitions of his own.
The Dancing With the Stars pro has joined the cast of Nashville for a multi-episode role in Season 3, as reported by TVLine.com.
Hough will reportedly play Noah West, a “beguiling and disarming” movie star who (after landing the leading role in a famous country singer’s biopic) enters Nashville’s music scene.
This is the first major acting role for Hough who had previously guested on Better With You. The acting gig shouldn’t affect his day job, however, as he has been confirmed to return as a pro on the upcoming 19th season of Dancing With the Stars.
Nashville‘s third season premieres Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m.
