Tonight’s RAW was taped last night at a Supershow (SD being taped after RAW) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, WWE traveling overseas this week. Here are the spoilers, according to Tom Afflec and PWInsider, as well as Oliver Copp and WrestlingObserver.com:
– The show opened with Edge and Randy Orton coming to the ring dressed as DX (Edge as Hunter, Randy as Shawn). They cut a promo on DX, on their fans who buy merchandise, and threw in a bunch of penis jokes. DX hit the ring for Orton to challenge HHH.
– Cryme Tyme beat two members of the Spirit Squad in their debut using a TKO/neckbreaker double-team finisher. This was likely a non-title match, and the Squad bickered after the match.
– RAW Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman was backstage talking with Smackdown’s World Champion Booker T. Cryme Tyme came backstage and Booker said he didn’t speak ebonics as Cryme Tyme pickpocketed him.
– WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy keeped the belt by beating Benjamin, Masters and Super Crazy by pinning Masters after the swanton bomb. One big spot in the match featured Masters powerbombing Shelton as he superplexed Crazy.
– Vince McMahon has a big announcement, and he saw King Booker and ECW World Champion Big Show backstage, and asked where Cena was.
– Melina and Johnny Nitro brought out a “huge celebrity” — Kevin Federline — to huge heat, and he tried to sing. Cena came out and got a huge pop, rapped about K-Fed, knocked Nitro out of the ring, and then verbally sparred with Show and Booker, who later came out to the ring. It was time for Vince’s announcement: at Cyber Sunday, one of the titles will be on the line, with fans choosing which. Cena gave K-Fed the FU.
– Rob Conway was upset he’s never on RAW, so Carlito beat him in a squash match.
– Edge and Lita talked with Vince backstage, asking about a title rematch, but Edge and Orton will face DX at Cyber Sunday.
– Two members of the Jackass cast came out (Steve O and another) challenging anyone, so Umaga squashed them, perhaps getting stiff when they didn’t sell.
– Maria beat Torrie, Victoria and Candice in a Fatal Four Way Bra & Panties match to advance in the tournament for Women’s Championship. She will face Lita and Melina will face Mickie in the semifinal round of the tournament.
– HHH beat Orton with the Pedigree after a chairshot. Early reports have Orton looking like he injured his foot, and he was helped to the back after the match.
