TNA Star Backstage at RAW, Ratings News & More on Cena/K-Fed

News, Ratings

PWInsider is reporting that Monty Brown — former NFL and TNA star, who’s TNA contract recently ran out — was backstage at RAW last night. The site has confirmed that Brown and WWE have “opened contract negotiations” so we’ll keep you up with the latest on this story, which would be the biggest named jump from TNA to WWE (not counting Jeff Hardy, who overall is more known as a WWE wrestler than one for Total Nonstop Action).

Also on RAW, there was a dark main event featuring two Smackdown wrestlers after the show went off the air — Booker T vs. Batista.

In other RAW news, Monday night’s 700th episode of the show got a 3.6 cable rating (5 share) according to Nielsen Media Research by way of PWInsider, with hours of 3.6 and 3.6, down from last week’s 3.7. RAW’s lowest quarter hour was the 10:45 3.2, and the highest the 10pm’s 3.9.

Yahoo! Videos covered the Cena/K-Fed altercation:

The build continues to Cyber Sunday, and on WWE.com, Shelton Benjamin talks about his chance to go up against Jeff Hardy at Cyber Sunday. He won the fan poll in 2004 for Taboo Tuesday, and then went on to beat Chris Jericho for his first IC Title reign.

ECW star CM Punk will be part of Sci Fi’s Ghost Hunters Live special on October 31 from 11pm until 5am the next morning. He’ll be with a group of pro ghost hunters looking for apparitions on Halloween night.

And finally, Brooke Hogan’s CD is officially out today.
