TNA’s Busy Weekend

News

Jim Cornette will be taking two months off from pro wrestling following the November 4 Ring of Honor show in Philadelphia. He’s been sick as a dog and hasn’t felt good about not being able to perform at the highest level. He’ll still do the November and December TNA PPVs and TV tapings the following Mondays, but he wasn’t booked for TNA this week unless segments were pre-taped in Detroit during Bound For Glory weekend.

Usually TNA wrestlers work TV tapings on Mondays, but this week’s were on Tuesday instead to allow for travel from Detroit — the first TNA PPV outside of Orlando or Nashville was held there this weekend. On Monday, a lot of workers were indeed busy, with Spike TV filming footage for the November 16 primetime debut (likely including a new opening video), Midway Games scanning members of the roster for the upcoming video game, some sort of high definition project being worked on, and pre-taped segments being produced for the next two weeks of television.

Also on the video game, crowd footage was shot so they can use TNA crowd noise and chants for the game, and the AJ Styles renderings were shown to other wrestlers, who were very impressed with the detail.

The Jeff Jarrett interview that TNAWrestling.com teased was also shot, with Jarrett getting into some dark personal issues (likely his wife’s recent illness, etc.) as he makes the transition to a babyface character. Also shot were several Kevin Nash vignettes with Alex Shelley and Austin Starr.

In other news, SLAM! Wrestling has an interview up with TNA President Dixie Carter.
