Tag Team Match

John Morrison
&
The Miz
Vs.
Shad
&
JTG
Cryme Tyme
At a combined weight of 525 lbs.

The match begins before the bell rings as Morrison & Miz come out of the ring and are joined by Rhodes & Dibiase in order to reclaim the title belts that Cryme Tyme stole from them last week.

No match, no winner, no time to call, but Rhodes & Dibiase get their tag team titles back just as Orton told them they should do. We go to commercial break.
o? Will Rey Mysterio be in action tonight? Before you find yourself back at work tomorrow, kick back, relax and get the answers to these questions by following the action with Pulse Wrestling…

Walter “Killer” Kowalski passed away after suffering a heart attack. Our thoughts are with the family of the man who not only made his mark in the wrestling ring, but was a great trainer as well.

Raw is brought to you live from St. Louis, MO. Ringside announcers are Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Randy Orton appears and heads down the entrance ramp with his arm in a sling. Orton gets a mixed reaction from the live audience. Orton has a mic and tells us that he is still injured. Orton says he didn’t want to come back until he was one hundred percent. Orton says that a brand is only as strong as it’s champions and now Raw is an absolute joke. Orton starts on the Women’s Champion and tells her she is embarrassing herself. Orton tells her that her boyfriend is the weakest Champion in the WWE. Orton calles Rhodes and Dibiase worthless. Orton says the real problem on Raw is the World Heavyweight Championship and says that CM Punk is disgracing the title. Not according to the fans, Orton, not according to the fans. Orton says he would love to challenge CM Punk right here tonight and take back what belongs to him but he can’t do that because he hasn’t been medically cleared. Orton says that as soon as he is cleared, he will challenge Punk and he will reclaim Raw.

Not one to stand idly by these days, CM Punk appears and in Orton’s home town, the fans go wild. Punk heads to the ring, with the gold, and stands face to face with Orton in the center of the ring. Punk tells Orton he has a headache from listening to Orton talk. Punk says not everyone has Granddaddy and Daddy behind them to usher them into the WWE. Some people have to work very hard to get there and it doesn’t matter how Punk won the title, the fact is that he is the WWE Champion. Punk tells Orton that he doesn’t take joyrides on his motorcycle at three in the morning and get re-injured. Punk says that Orton is an afterthought. Punk says he has a battle royal tonight and then on Sunday he has a Championship Scramble. Punk calls Orton pathetic. Orton climbs out of the ring and backs up the ramp. Punk says that he will do everything in his power to hold onto his belt.

As Orton heads out of the arena, John Bradshaw Layfield heads to the ring. JBL says that Punk doesn’t understand fairy tales are not real and there is an eighty percent chance that Punk will lose his title at Unforgiven. In the middle of JBL’s tirade, Big Red Machine Kane heads to the ring. Kane enters the ring and laughs at JBL. Kane says he has been to hell and he hasn’t seen JBL’s clothesline anywhere but he did see Rey Mysterio. Kane says that Mysterio will not be at Unforgiven and he won’t be at Raw tonight…Kane made sure of that. Kane says there is now one less person in the scramble match and Batista enters the arena and heads to the ring. Batista grabs JBL’s mic, throws it down, spears Kane, then spears JBL and then spears CM Punk. Batista then heads back up the ramp.

Michael Cole says that tonight there will be a Raw Battle Royal between the men who will be in the Championship Scramble at Unforgiven. We go to commercial break.

Cole reminds us about the huge battle royal. Tonight we will see and ECW battle royal as well.

John Cena’s entrance theme begins and Charlie Haas dressed ala Cena heads to the ring. Last week, Haas was “Charlito”. Haas says that the Haas is here and you can’t see him.

Charlie Haas
Vs.
Kofi Kingston

The bell rings and the two men lock up. Haas shoves Kingston into the ropes and delivers a knee but Kingston takes Haas up and over to the mat. The referee gets Kingston out of the corner and Kingston catches a fist from Haas. Kingston comes back and is all over Haas until Haas catches Kingston with a boot to the jaw. Kingston comes up with a trouble in paradise and gets the three count.

Winner: Kofi Kingston, match time 2 minutes.

Kingston is good in the ring and Haas can do much better than he has been doing lately. The match didn’t leave much to talk about.

Cole informs the audience that Chris Jericho and Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels will sign their Unforgiven contract tonight.

The official theme song for Unforgiven is “Rock Out” by Motorhead. Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase are backstage with Orton. Orton slaps Rhodes just like he slapped Rhodes’ Dad the first time he met Cody. Dibiase keeps Rhodes from taking Orton apart. Mike Adamle, Raw General Manger, is backstage with ECW General Manager Theodore Long and Tiffany. Adamle wants to talk about the Battle Royals scheduled for tonight. Kane appears and tells Adamle that last week Adamle announced last week Rey Mysterio is coming back. Kane says that Mysterio is not coming back. Adamle says that he said what he did because he wanted to send a message to Mysterio that he is needed on Raw.

Five Man ECW Battle Royal

Matt Hardy from Cameron, NC, weighing 236 lbs.
Vs.
Chavo Guerrero from El Paso, TX, weighing 215 lbs.
With Bam Neely
Vs.
Finlay from Belfast, Northern Ireland, weighing 233 lbs.
With Hornswoggle

Back from commercial break,
Vs.
The Miz from Cleveland, OH, weighing 231 lbs.
Vs.
“The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry from TX, weighing 392 lbs.
ECW Champion
With Tony Atlas

The bell rings and everyone is zeroed in on Henry. Henry sends everyone to the mat but Miz and Hardy deliver a DDT. Miz and Hardy take on each other as Finlay drops Guerrero on top of Henry. Miz tries to send Finlay over the rope but he doesn’t make it. Hardy tries to send Miz over the top rope but Miz doesn’t hit the floor either. Guerrero tries to send Miz over the top rope but Henry eliminates both Miz and Guerrero before going after Hardy and Finlay. Henry squashes Finlay and delivers a boot to Hardy. Henry again delivers a splash in the corner to Finlay but when he goes after Hardy, Hardy gets over the way. Finlay delivers a spear in the corner and Hardy and Finlay work to get Henry over the top rope. They can’t do it. Henry sends Finlay over the top rope and Hardy goes after Henry with clotheslines and a double kick before coming off the second rope with an elbow. Henry picks up Hardy and throws him over the top rope.

Winner: “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry, match time 4 minutes.

It was a battle royal and a short battle royal at that.

Cole reminds us that the Raw Battle Royal is coming up later tonight. We then see a video of the feud that has been brewing between Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels. They will face each other in an Unsanctioned Match at Unforgiven. We go to commercial break.

Don’t forget to catch the action tomorrow night on Blatt vs. ECW, providing in depth real-time coverage of ECW, only on Pulse Wrestling!

Chris Jericho is shown with Lance Cade and some guy in a suit going over the contract he is supposed to sign tonight.

Jamie Noble from Hanover, WV, weighing 202 lbs.
With Layla at ringside
Vs.
William Regal from Blackpool, England, weighing 240 lbs.
2008 King of the Ring

Noble says he has asked Layla to come out so he can show her what it takes. The bell rings and Regal delivers knees and fists with the ref in the middle. Regal picks up Noble and tosses him across the ring and delivers a few boots for good measure. Layla sits at ringside making faces. Noble manages to reverse a pin by Regal but Regal delivers a fist and sends Noble crashing to the canvas. Regal sends Noble into the corner and beats on him until the ref gets involved. Regal again picks up Noble and sends him to the mat. Regal picks up Noble but Noble manages to deliver a roll up and get the win.

Winner: Jamie Noble, match time 2 minutes.

Noble wins the match and rolls out of the ring to a smiling Layla. An extremely short match but it seems to have gotten Noble over with Layla. I couldn’t tell if the live audience is impressed.

Mickie James and Kelly Kelly are backstage. Lawler informs us that a Diva tag team match is coming up and we go to commercial break.

Six Woman Diva Tag Team Match

Jillian
&
Katie Lea Burchill
&
Beth Phoenix The Glamazon
WWE Women’s Champion
Vs.
Mickie James from Richmond, VA
&
Kelly Kelly
Vs.
Candice Michelle

Jillian Hall and Katie Lea appear early in the ring in order for Jillian to sing. Beth Phoenix addresses Randy Orton. She’s a little upset that he made fun of her. Kelly faces Katie when the bell rings. Katie immediately uses the hair to take Kelly down to the mat. Kelly delivers a drop kick. Katie is back up but Kelly tags in James and James goes for a cover but Katie kicks out. Katie tags in Jillian and we have a little double team action before James goes after everyone on the apron. Phoenix pulls James down by her hair as Katie keeps the ref busy. Phoenix gets the tag and she goes for the cover but James kicks out. Phoenix slams James head first into the turnbuckle and tags in Katie. Katie delivers a kick that sends James down to the mat. James fights back and Katie tags in Jillian then propels her into the corner. James gets out of the way and Phoenix gets the tag. James tags in Michelle and she goes after Phoenix and then Katie on the ring apron. Michelle comes off the ropes and takes Phoenix down by the hair. Michelle goes up to the top turnbuckle – on the wrong side of the ring and gets caught but James and Kelly go around to help her out. Michelle delivers a cross body block to Phoenix. Phoenix picks her up but Michelle catches Phoenix with a roll up and gets the three count.

Winners: Candice Michelle, Mickie James & Kelly Kelly

Not a bad match but a little confusing. Candice Michelle suffered two injuries close together and may regret getting herself back in the ring but she did appear to be in good shape and handled herself well in the ring. Cole introduces a video of the feud between Michaels and Jericho. We go to commercial break.

Back from commercial break, Cole wonders if Mysterio will appear on Raw.

Santino Marella from Italy, weighing 227 lbs.
Intercontinental Champion
Vs.
D’Lo Brown from Illinois

Marella addresses Orton to tell him that Marella will prove Orton wrong by being the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. Marella has a Honk-A-Meter. Honkytonk Man was the Champion for 64 weeks and Marella has already been Champion for 2 weeks. I guess that means Marella is in competition with Honkytonk Man’s record. The bell rings and Marella delivers a knee then shoulder blocks in the corner. Brown comes out of the corner with a fist and as Marella comes off the ropes, Brown delivers a dropkick. Brown then delivers a squash in the corner and goes for the pin getting a two count. Marella tries for a dropkick but Brown hangs onto the ropes and Marella hits the canvas. Brown comes off the top with a frog splash and misses as Marella gets out of the way. Marella goes for the cover and gets the win.

Winner: Santino Marella, Intercontinental Champion, match time 2 minutes.

I’m actually shocked that Marella won the match. Brown came back to WWE for this kind of match? Michaels is backstage with some guy in a suit while the guy in the suit is looking over the contract and we go to commercial break.

Back from commercial break, we see courtesy of WWE Classics on Demand 24/7 September 22, 1997, Madison Square Garden: Stone Cold Steve Austin, gives everyone a stunner including Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

Tag Team Match

Back from commercial break, Rhodes and Dibiase meet up with Orton and show him their title belts before walking off. Orton smirks and walks the other way.

Cole and Lawler point out that the St. Louis Rams are at ringside tonight and then we see a video of Josh Matthews, Mickie James and Mr. Kennedy at the Republican National Convention. Matthews encourages everyone to go to smackdownyourvote.com.

Todd Grisham is backstage with Batista and he asks what the game plan is for the Battle Royal match and the Championship Scramble match. Batista says his game plan is to destroy everyone. Lawler and Cole go over the matches scheduled for Unforgiven, airing this Sunday on pay per view with three Championship Scramble matches and the Unsanctioned Match between Jericho and Michaels tonight.

Raw Battle Royal

Batista from Washington, DC weighing 290 lbs.
Vs.
John Bradshaw Layfield from New York City

We go to commercial break.

Back from commercial break, Randy Orton has appeared to sit at ringside.
Vs.
CM Punk from Chicago, IL weighing 222 lbs.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion
Vs.
Big Red Machine Kane weighing 323 lbs.

The bell rings and Batista goes after Kane while CM Punk and JBL square off. JBL and Kane work together against Batista but he drops them with a double clothesline. Batista doesn’t leave Punk out of the beat down. JBL comes off the ropes for a clothesline from hell but is dropped by a spear from Batista. Punk sends Batista over the top rope. JBL catches Punk and Kane with a boot to the face and Punk sends JBL over the top rope. Kane is back to his feet and he heads toward Punk. Punk goes after Kane with kicks but Kane goes after Punk with a fist. Kane delivers another fist and then a clothesline in the corner. Kane picks up Punk and tries to send him over the top rope but Punk grabs the ropes and hangs on. Punk elbows his way out of Kane’s hold but receives a boot to the face for his trouble. Kane delivers a side slam to Punk. Kane charges Punk in the corner but Punk gets out of the way and delivers a series of high knees but Kane sends Punk into the ropes and catches him with a boot when he comes off. Punk catches Kane with an elbow and has Kane up for the GTS but Kane grabs the ropes and throws Punk over the top rope. Punk comes back into the ring but Kane catches him by the throat and sends Punk to the floor

Winner: Big Red Machine Kane, match time 6 minutes.

The best part was actually after the match when Punk faces Orton at ringside and delivers a drink to Orton’s face. Not a bad battle royal. After the drink hits Orton, Rey Mysterio appears and heads to the ring where Kane is waiting. Mysterio cuts loose on Kane and Kane is down in the ring with Mysterio pounding on him. Mysterio goes for the 619 but Kane bails out of the ring. Mysterio delivers a baseball slide and then manages to send Kane into the corner post outside the ring avoiding a power bomb. Mysterio uses the ring post to deliver the 619 but Kane has Mysterio by the throat. Mysterio sends Kane over the guardrail with a hurricanrana. This could make for a very interesting battle royal on Sunday when Kane finds himself on Batista and Mysterio’s bad side. The contract signing between Jericho and Michaels is next and we go to commercial break.

Check back in with Pulse Wrestling on Friday for Real-Time Smackdown coverage.

Back from commercial break, the WWE Slam of the Week: Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels in the ring when Jericho nails Rebecca Michaels in the face.

Contract Signing

Lawler is in the ring to mediate the contract signing between Jericho and Michaels with several members of Security in and around the ring. Jericho comes to the ring first, dressed in suit and tie, obviously not prepared for any ring action. Lawler says that Adamle asked him to moderate the contract signing and the match will be completely unsanctioned and each will waive all liabilities and absolve WWE from any legal ramifications. Lawler introduces Shawn Michaels. The two men sit across a table from each other and Jericho seems to have a problem looking at Michaels. Lawler says that both of the lawyers have looked at the documents and if there is any physicality between the two of them tonight, the match at Unforgiven will be called off. Jericho takes the clipboard and signs on the dotted line. Michaels then signs his name on the dotted line. Jericho has yet to look at Michaels. Lawler thanks them both but Jericho interrupts him and Jericho asks Michaels why he has all the security at ringside. Michaels says that it isn’t his security and if he had it his way, there wouldn’t be anybody out there but the two of them. Jericho says he has something to say to Michaels and that everyone can leave if it’s all right with Michaels. Michaels says he sees no reason for anyone else to be there and everyone leaves the ring, with security heading to the back. Jericho said that he followed Michaels’ advice. Jericho says that he sat his kids down and told them he would never be a liar or a manipulator like Shawn Michaels and then he forbid them to watch Unforgiven because of what Jericho is going to do Shawn Michaels. Jericho finally looks at Michaels and tells him that he will end his career for good. Jericho says that he will put Michaels out of his misery at Unforgiven just as Michaels put Flair out of his misery. Jericho says that the only person Michaels will have to blame his himself after what is going to happen to Michaels. Michaels says he is glad that Jericho’s wife and children will not be watching Unforgiven because Michaels has forbidden his family from watching. Michaels says he will take out Jericho at Unforgiven with no remorse from Michaels. Michaels says he will have no regrets about what happens to Jericho at Unforgiven. Michaels says that some day he hopes God can forgive him for what he is going to do to Jericho. We have a stare off but Jericho stands up. Michaels takes off his jacket. Lance Cade appears in the ring but Michaels sees him and takes him down. Jericho comes around the ring and pulls Michaels out of the ring. Michaels lands on his shoulder on the floor but he gets back to his feet, kicks Cade in the head and goes back in the ring to beat on Cade some more as Jericho backs out of the arena.

There is a chance that Shawn Michaels injured his shoulder when he hit the floor outside the ring. Stay tuned to Pulse Wrestling for news updates on Michaels’ condition.

That’s it for tonight. Thank you for joining Pulse Wrestling. Your regular host, Paul Marshall, will be back next Monday night (you WILL be back, won’t you Mr. Marshall?).
