Warner Home Video will release the “Director’s Cut” (180 mins.) of the Oscar-winning (Best Picture, Director, and six others) Amadeus on Blu-ray early next year. Milos Forman’s 1984 film stars F. Murray Abraham as composer Antonio Salieri who, jealous of rival Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s (Tom Hulce) skill, plots revenge and murder. Mozart died in 1791, though no evidence exists that he was actually poisoned by Salieri, who is reported to have experienced nervous breakdowns throughout his life following the event. Rock me, Amadeus on February 10th.
