Disc Announcements, News

That’s right, the Terminator: Salvation director, who has had multiple studios vying for his next slot, has signed on to direct Disney’s prequel of sorts to their 1954 classic. The film is to called 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Captain Nemo.

The script by Bill Marsilli is an original story revolving around Captain Nemo as he creates his warship, the Nautilus.

The original was Disney’s first live-action film and was the second highest grossing film the year it was released. It also won three Oscars. Obviously, Disney is hoping to have a repeat performance.
