Upcoming Projects for Will Ferrell, Matt Damon

News

Variety today has news about two separate projects, one which would feature Will Ferrell, another that would star Matt Damon. Studios are currently bidding over spec scripts that are being shopped around and by week’s end both should be picked up and greenlit for 2010 release dates. Ferrell’s project is an action comedy called B-Team that is to be directed by his long-time collaborator Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers). Mark Wahlberg is set to co-star alongside Ferrell.

Damon’s project is a contemporary sci-fi love story called The Adjustment Bureau, based loosely on a Philip K. Dick short story. The screenplay is by George Nolfi, of Ocean’s Twelve and The Bourne Ultimatum. He has a history with Damon. In fact, he’s also penning the currently untitled Jason Bourne sequel. Nolfi will be making his directing debut with “Bureau,” and he hopes to start shooting this summer.
