Taz Shoots On Himself, Talks About Origins of Catchphrase And Finisher

News

Taz’s has answered another batch of fan questions on his Facebook page. On the subject of the biggest jerk backstage in the original ECW, he had this to say:

I hate to admit this but I’m gonna shoot straight with you, I was probley the biggest A-Hole back in the original ECW days. I don’t think most of the locker room “liked” me….and they shouldn’t have. At times, I was a bit immature and difficult to deal with….it took me a long time to “make it” and I was always told I would NEVER make it in the industry and that motivated me but also developed a huge chip on my shoulder so I wasn’t mature enough (sometimes) to handle the push and was very protecting of what I achieved.

He also talks about how he and Paul Heyman came up with the “Win if you can, survive if I let you” catchphrase, why he chose to use the Tazmission (partially because he could perform it on anyone, no matter the size), his thoughts on the Wrestler, his six year old son’s involvement in junior MMA, his favorite ring entrances (with a gratuitous Ding Dongs reference), and finishing a match with a broken neck in OGECW.
