As reported yesterday on ROH’s website, this Saturday’s ROH World Title match between Austin Aries and Colt Cabana has had two critical stipulations added to it. Per Cabana’s request, the match is now a cage match. However, if Aries retains, Cabana will never receive a title match in his hometown of Chicago again.
The remainder of the matches and appearances for Saturday’s Chicago show (Frontier Fieldhouse, 9807 Sayre Avenue, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415, 7:30 PM Bell Time – tickets still available at the door) is as follows:
– Pick 6 Series Match: #3 Roderick Strong vs. #5 Kenny Omega
– The Briscoes vs. Dark City Fight Club
– Pick 6 Series Match: #4 Tyler Black vs. Kenny King, no outside interference allowed
– Pick 6 Series Match: #1 Kevin Steen vs. Claudio Castagnoli
– Necro Butcher vs. Erick Stevens
– Four Corner Survival Match: “Skullkrusher” Rasche Brown vs. Sami Callihan vs. Shane Hollister vs. Joey Ryan (AKA Four Corners Survival Foregone Conclusion Match)
– Jim Cornette will be in attendance, and holding a free meet-and-greet autograph section from 6:30 to 7:30
Saturday’s show has received a decent amount of press coverage, including a Southtown Star interview with Austin Aries, a Chicago Sun Times piece on Colt Cabana, and yes, another Chicago Sun Times piece on Colt Cabana.
ROH has announced Jerry Lynn vs. Kenny King for its Los Angeles debut at WrestleReunion 4, on January 29, 2010. Other wrestlers recently signed to appear at WrestleReunion include: The Briscoes, Austin Aries, Eddie Edwards, Necro Butcher, Colt Cabana, Delirious, Erick Stevens, Claudio Castagnoli, Ace Steel, and Tyler Black. The following wrestlers have been signed for the January 8th and 9th, 2010 ROH on HDNet tapings in South Philly: Cheech and Cloudy, Eddie Kingston, Steve Corino, Tyler Black, Austin Aries, Colt Cabana, and Roderick Strong. More names will be announced as they become available.
