WWE PPV Buy-Rate News

News

At the start of 2010, WWE increased Pay Per View prices $39.95 to $44.95. The buys are in for Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber for 2010 and comparing to 2009, a trend emerges. Domestically, the Rumble did about 3% less than last year, with a similarly small drop for the Elimination Chamber. With such a small decrease, the extra price means a greater profit for the company. As far as international sales go, those are up, but with new markets opening, that only makes sense, though it too amounts to an increase in profit. It, of course, remains to be seen if as many people will be willing to sacrifice the extra money for PPVs that aren’t on the road to Wrestlemania.
