Beth Phoenix’s injury was worse than was originally thought, which prompted the quick WWE Women’s Title change on last week’s Smackdown. There are people in WWE now regretting Mickie James being released, since there is such little depth on the Smackdown babyface Divas roster. Gail Kim may wind up being moved over from Raw to join Tiffany and Kelly Kelly on the blue brand. WWE might bring in some new talent instead. Tara/Victoria is a possibility, as her TNA contract is expiring, yet her age may count against her, as might the negative comments she made about WWE after she left. Phoenix underwent surgery on her torn ACL on May 18 in Birmingham under Dr James Andrews and is expected to be out of action for about six months. She injured herself in a match against Rosa Mendes on May 4 in Buffalo, when her left knee gave way after jumping off the turnbuckle. She also suffered a bone bruise, a sprained MCL and a torn and displaced meniscus.
