Complete Details for WWE Top 50 Superstars DVD Release

Disc Announcements, News

Just in time for Christmas, on December 14th, World Wrestling Entertainment will release a three-disc set that will have old school fans and new school fans discussing past and present superstars. Before John Cena got opponents to submit to his STFU, Lou Thesz pioneered the Stepover Toehold Facelock (minus the “U”) when he competed inside the confines of the squared circle.

With the release of Top 50 Superstars of All Time, besides a countdown of the top fifty superstars, where new fans will have the opportunity to be introduced to former greats like Jake “The Snake” Roberts, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, “Mr. Perfect” Curt Henning, and The Funks (Dory Jr. and Terry), they will have two discs worth of matches to pour over as they witness how wrestling gravitated from being just a “sport” to being sports entertainment.

Among the highlights, WWE includes a classic from the Coliseum Home Video release Smack’em Whack’em, as well as a match involving a Gorilla and a Giant. (No joke.)
