It’s one thing to see Andrew Garfield on the set of the Spider-Man reboot, it’s another thing to actually see him in costume.
With this official photo from Sony Pictures, the studio is wasting little time in jumpstarting its marketing campaign of Marc Webb’s ((500) Days of Summer) reboot of the hit franchise. Besides this photo, Sony has launched a facebook page in promoting the project, which is apropos considering that it was Anderew Garfield’s last film, The Social Network, that pushed him into the spotlight.
In addition to Garfield, Spider-Man also stars Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben Parker, Sally Field as Aunt May and Denis Leary as George Stacy.
It will arrive in theaters on July 3, 2012.
So what do you think? The suit is not taken a hundred percent from the comics, but I personally like it. It’s nice, simple, and hey look, battle damaged!
