NFL News: Cleveland Browns Leaning Towards Pat Shurmur For Head Coach

Pat yourself on the back if you knew that name before the season started.

The Cleveland Browns are still looking for their next head coach after firing Eric Mangini. So far the search has lead to Pat Shurmur being the leading candidate for the job.

Shurmur has been the offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams and also worked with the Philadelphia Eagles. Shurmur helped Sam Bradford put up numbers that only Peyton Manning surpassed as a rookie. The Browns hope Shurmur can have the same impact on their young QB, Colt McCoy.

The Browns are hoping to get a contract done as quickly as Thursday and announce Shurmur at a press confrence Friday.
