Phil Baroni Signs With Titan FC

News

After coming off a loss to Brad Tavares at UFC 125 The New York Bas Ass Phil Baroni has signed a multi fight deal with Titan FC and plans to make his debut with the company at their March 25th show in Kansas City, Missouri. His first opponent has yet to be named.

His release from the UFC was expected as since returning to the company in November 2009 he has lost to both Amir Sadollah and Brad Tavares, overall he has lost 3 in a row and 6 out of his last 9. His current record stands at 13-13. He had also spent time fighting with Strikeforce, Elite XC, and PRIDE.

Titan FC CEO Joe Kelly seemed more interested in Baroni’s charisma and potential star power than his underwhelming record during the press conference to announce his signing. “Since Phil’s departure from the UFC, many fans have been wondering what Phil’s next move would be,” Kelly said. “I am proud to announce that Phil has signed a multi fight deal with Titan and will be featured during our March event. Phil has a star quality to him that so few fighters have, and win or lose, he has always fought with a true warrior’s mentality.”

Titan’s next event, Titan Fighting Championship 16: Sylvia vs. Wagner, takes place January 28th and will be broadcast nationwide on HDNet.
