News

Activision has announced that its has named its Beenox studio the primary developer on all upcoming Spider-Man game’s from the publisher.

“Beenox’s creative vision reinvigorated the Spider-Man gaming experience among critics and fans in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions,” said Senior Vice President Patrick Kelly. “We can’t wait to see where this talented studio will take this franchise in the future.”

“We are thrilled with this opportunity to continue our close, collaborative relationship with Activision, Marvel and everyone’s friendly, neighborhood hero, Spider-Man,” said Beenox studio head Dee Brown. “Being able to map out Spider-Man’s interactive future gives us the creative freedom to really craft the best gaming experience for the fans.”

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was an excellent Spider-Man game. It did have some camera problems, and the web swinging could probably have been tighter, but it was definitely one of my favorite games from last year. If they can build on that solid foundation, we should have some great Spider-Man games in the future.
