Kimbo Slice Quits Boxing, To Do Pro-Wrestling In Japan

Former The Ultimate Fighter, Showtime and CBS superstar Kimbo Slice has called time on his always unlikely quest to fine success in the pro-boxing ring. His former promoter Jared Shaw told MMA Fighting that Slice had taken a break from his training to rest nagging injuries and film a movie but “Upon his return, he didn’t show me any interest in boxing, so we just decided for right now to put it to the side”. Slice will instead make the long expected move into the pro-wrestling ring, wrestling for Antonio Inoki’s IGF promotion on February 5th.

A Comics Nexus original, Will Cooling has written about comics since 2004 despite the best efforts of the industry to kill his love of the medium. He now spends much of his time over at Inside Fights where he gets to see muscle-bound men beat each up without retcons and summer crossovers.
