If you were lucky enough to watch the red band trailer that was leaked before it was pulled, then you know that Sony Pictures isn’t handling The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with kid gloves. The gloves are off. And judging from Rooney Mara’s appearance as computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, gloves aren’t the only things missing.
Now comes the first US poster for the much-anticipated holiday release (dubbed “The Feel Bad Movie of Christmas”). It will be interesting to see if the MPAA steps in the way and ask for its removal in theater establishments. A similar incident happened to both Saw II (severed fingers) and Zack & Miri Make a Porno (implied oral sex). Knowing that the poster might be too racy for some, at the official Sony site you must first provide your date of birth to prove you’re old enough to view it.
