A few weeks ago in the pages of Flashpoint #4 we found out that Hal Jordan died in the assault on New Themyscria in his attempt to pilot and drop the Green Arrow from Queen Industries. This week in the final issue of his mini we were given an expanded look at the situation.
This means we got to see that Hal didn’t get shot down, and he didn’t fail. He wound up flying himself directly into the Amazon forcefield, detonated the bomb that wouldn’t fire, but destroying the field. His death actually helps turn the tide of things as now there is nothing keeping the American’s from going in.
Though when Carol Ferris goes through his things after the fact she finds the one thing that he was afraid of in his journal.
That he was too afraid to ask her to marry him.
