In last night’s episode of The Amazing Race, the father and son team of Laurence and Zac were eliminated after the double U-Turn was used… twice.
Initially, Cindy & Ernie used it to stop an impressive showing from Bill & Cathy. On first glance it looked like an odd move to slow down the already slow couple who are easily the oldest competitions especially over the snowboarders who have won almost every leg. The move worked though as Cindy and Ernie finally finished in the top spot.
The U-Turn had an effect on Laurence and Zac who fell victims to it after Bill & Cathy used it on them in a self-preservation move.
