Rashad Evans vs. Little Nog Verbally Agreed To For Super Bowl Weekend

News

UFC 155 may be looking like the most stacked card of the year but the one to follow in February for the Super Bowl looks to be nearly as impressive based on the UFC’s treating it as one of their big PPV’s of the year. The first big fight on it has been announced as SporTV in Brazil has announced that Rashad Evans and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira have been booked for Super Bowl weekend. It hasn’t been officially announced, though.

Kubryk’s Analysis: I really like this fight. Evans is the clear #2 light heavyweight in the world and we don’t know how much Little Nog has left in him. Last time we saw him he dismantled Tito Ortiz in the same fashion that Rashad did. He’s been out for a while with injury but his only losses are close decisions to Phil Davis and Ryan Bader, two other top ten contenders. A win over Rashad can get him into the mix.

It’s interesting to see Evans take this fight, if only because of talk he was going to go to 185. He wants another shot at Jones and a big emphatic win here gets him right back into the mix.
