Hero Remembrance For MURPH: The Protector

Media, News, Official Images, Trailers

To be honest, I don’t know much about Lieutenant Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL who died in combat in 2005 and was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 2007. What I do know is the Hero Workout that is dedicated in his honor. Called “MURPH,” the workout involves a 1 mile Run followed by 100 Pull-ups, 200 Push-ups and 300 Squats before doing another 1 mile Run. It’s a brutal workout, but nothing in comparison to what Murphy endured as a Navy SEAL.

In honor of courage and commitment to service, director Scott Mactavish has made the feature-length documentary MURPH: The Protector. It’s a doc about the decorated soldier, as told by those who knew him best.

The film will get a limited release in Regal Entertainment Group theatres beginning March 22nd.
