In my potpourri Villains Month spoilers round-up to end my comic book day morning activities, comes Action Comics #23.2: Zod #1 also with Faora and Non, Justice League #23.2 Lobo #1, Green Lantern #23.2 Mongul #1 and Earth 2 #15.2 Solomon Grundy #1. These books don`t seem to be tied to Forever Evil in any way, but have interesting moments nonetheless.

Action Comics #23.2: Zod #1
We learn of General Zod’s DC Comics New 52 origin. It still includes classic elements like Faora and Non, the Phantom Zone and tension with Jor-el. Interesting enhancements including Zor-el (Jor-el’s brother and Superman’s uncle who is also currently DC’s Cyborg Superman) and perhaps the teasing of an army of Kryptonians with Zod in the Phantom Zone who may escape and cause trouble for the Man of Steel.
Green Lantern #23.2: Mongul #1
Cosmic big bad Mongul makes his DC Comics New 52 debut in Green Lantern #23.2: Mongul #1. He has a new wardrobe, a new viciousness, and a new target(s) in his sights.
Justice League #23.2: Lobo #1
The DC New 52 gets its second Lobo, who happens to be the original one, in Justice League #23.2: Lobo #1. Who exactly is the Lobo we’ve seen in Hawk and Dove as well as Stormwatch has yet to be explained. Looks like the original Lobo is not happy someone else is “wearing his face”.
Earth 2 #15.2: Solomon Grundy #1
After being stranded on he moon by Earth 2’s Green Lantern in that series’ opening arc, Solomon Grundy returns to Earth in Earth 2 #15.2: Solomon Grundy #1. Is a battle looming with Earth 2’s Wonders?
