On Saturday September 21 2013, I had the chance to catch up with former two-time Ultimate Fighter contestant and current UFC lightweight Myles Jury, immediately following his split decision win over Canadian Mike Ricci at UFC 165.
While the match was one of the most anticipated on the bill with both fighters coming off big wins, it was not the technical showdown that many expected. Both fighters seemed reluctant to go on the offensive and seemed to both want to use the counterattack strategy. As a result, the match did not go over well with the fans and I asked Jury about this and if it was more important to win a safe match or gain popularity with the fans. We also discussed the match itself and his experiences on The Ultimate Fighter. Check out the video above!
