Every year there are rumors of surprise entrants into the Royal Rumble and this year is no different.
Christian has been sidelined with a concussion and off TV. He is reportedly cleared to return and could be a surprise entrant in the Rumble.
Sheamus is also about ready to return from injury, and could be earmarked as a surprise entrant. He is also booked in Pittsburgh at a boat show over the weekend, the same city as the Rumble.
Speaking of that boat show, Chris Jericho is booked to appear at the same show as Sheamus, and is in Pittsburgh this weekend. Whether he is a mystery entrant is still up in the air.
Finally, after a successful return to WWE TV at Old School Raw, Jake “the Snake” Roberts is heavily rumored to be a surprise entrant in the Rumble.
