While there are no questions about how dominant Anthony Johnson looked against Antonio Rogeiro Nogueira on Saturday’s UFC on FOX 12, there are many questions about who he will face next.
When Dana White was asked about who Johnson will face next, he was mum on details, but did admit that the light heavyweight would need at least one more fight before putting himself in title contention in one of the most competitive UFC divisions.
“There’s no doubt he’s a contender but he still needs another fight to get up into that… [title contention],” White said at the post-fight press conference. “I don’t think we have ever had a guy go from 170 to 205 and actually be more powerful and more devastating then he was at 170. It’s crazy. Never seen anything like it. He looked fantastic tonight.”
