As Wrestlemania 36 Looms, An Update On Disgraced Murderer and Former WWE Champion Chris Benoit’s Biographical Movie Crossface! A decision to postpone Wrestlemania 36 due to the Coronavirus, as per other sports leagues, has not yet been communicated.
In terms of Chris Benoit, a few years ago Lexi Alexander was pegged at the director for the film about Benoit’s life and the tragedy of his murdering of his wife Nancy and son Daniel followed by his suicide.
Benoit’s surviving son David Benoit, during an interview, he provided the following update.
- “There was a director, everything bro. We had to step in because they wanted to do the tragedy about how it all went down. So we said no. They needed our permission. She sent us the script and then the end was the whole murder/suicide was gonna be all in it. We said no.”
So, the Crossface movie will not be produced, but that didn’t stop two other recent TV projects.
Chris Benoit is also survived by a daughter Megan.
