Could it be that he’s being mind controlled by the Super-Skrull?
Hulkling has enough of his visitors and has a mage whisk them away, interestingly, to his boyfriend Wiccan.
Elswehere, Tony Stark still is wallowing over being duped by the Cotati; his process includes creating new armor!
In Wakanada, the Swordsman communes with is son Quoi, the Celestial Messiah, leader of the Cotati and…

…as Wiccan reveals that Emperor Hulkling is not the real Hulkling who…
…is his husband.
We then get a tease of Empyre #5, the penultimate issue of this series, which is on shelves next week on August 12, 2020.
Here is the updated Empyre checklist too.
The Pulse:
This was a bit of an uneven issue as we have a lot of locales where skermishes are happening; we touched on some, but focused on the family drama of Swordsman, Mantis and Quoi. Intrigued by what’s next for Tony Stark. Positive moment at the end for those seeking more diversity in comics; to reflect the real world. Art was solid. 6 out of 10.
