Fan Fave Star Trek Author Dave Galanter Passes Away At 51 From Cancer! RIP.

The sad news was announced by Galanter’s wife on his various social media pages.

This follows Galanter’s announcement in November of his cancer diagnosis and his imminent passing.

Memory Alpha describes Galanter as follows.

Dave Galanter (1 December 1969 – 12 December 2020; age 51) was a Star Trek author. With writing partner Greg Brodeur, Galanter produced several novels, including the two books in the Maximum Warp series. Writing solo, Galanter penned several short stories and eBooks. His first solo novel, Troublesome Minds was released in 2009.

Galanter was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. In later years, he lived in Maryland with his wife and their cats, as well as his brother and sister-in-law and their children. Dave co-owned the websites ComicBoards.com and TVShowBoards.com.

Galanter passed away on 12 December, 2020 due to complications from cancer.
