Marvel Comics and Amazing Spider-Man #60 Spoilers and Review follows.
A Big Betrayal and A Trifecta Of Night Terrors With…
…Kindred, Mysterio and Mephisto?!
The book opens with a night terror for Peter Parker focusing on his one-time friend Harry Osborn’s turn as Kindred.
Later, Mary Jane Watsons takes Peter to an abandoned theater where…
…he can verbally articulate his feelings…
…deal with them.
It’s an emotional unburdening that…
…that even goes back and nods to 2007’s controversial One More Day storyline that…
…had Mephisto “take away” his marriage to MJ and ensuring everyone in the world forgets about it.
Looks like Peter gets some catharsis in the exercise, but…
…after he leaves, readers learn that MJ has been…
…colluding with Mysterio and that he heard all of Peter’s emotional unfurling.
The book ends with Doctor Strange confronting Mephisto over Peter Parker’s seemingly damaged soul in another One More Day nod.
One More Day is collected and available for purchase BTW.
The Pulse:
No Kingpin, no problem, but that storyline is coming to a head soon too, while Kindred likely will endure. A guy-wrenching issue, in a good way, on so many levels. Decent art and decent revelations. 7.5 out of 10.
