This world has Superwoman’s Crime Syndicate and now also Alexander “Lex” Luthor’s League of Justice; Ultraman easily swats Luthor away.

Despite, the Crime Syndicate setting off a nuke inside the giant Starro it had no effect.

That’s where Superwoman’s lasso comes into play…

…a deadly killing weapon that fells Starro who asks for mercy and gets none; he / it feared the Overlords of Oa.

The book ends with the smaller mind-controlling Starros dying off due to the big guy dying.

The book ends with…

…a triumphant Crime Syndicate striking a pose!

The back-up tale is a short one telling Superwoman’s secret origin (full spoilers here).

The Pulse:

A frenetic and fun issue. The art was ok, but the story was engaging. 7 out of 10.
