Then we see Nathan Burnett communing with presumably his sentient Radiant Black armor.
A war is coming with another Radiant and he will need to kill that Radiant.
Back in the real world, Radiant Red attacks Nathan and his friend Marshall.
Nathan harnesses the power of Radiant Black and…
…takes on his villainous red counterpart.
In the battle, Radiant Red has destroyed the foundation of building their battling in.
Radiant Black shoves the innocent bystanders in the building out while keeping it propped up so everyone can escape including villain Radiant Red.
Marshall runs to his friend Nathan, but he’d dead.
The Radiant Black power needs a new host and…
…it’s Marshall who does not have Nathan’s aversion to killing Radiant Red?!
The Pulse:
Nathan is dead and his friend Marshall takes on the mantle of Radiant Black. Wow. What a first 4 issues. This end to issue #4 may rival the surprise end to Marvel’s Thunderbolts #1 in 1997 (look it up if you don’t know about it; a pre-internet as we know it surprise ending). Wow. Did I say that already? Great art too. A really well done issue. 9 out of 10.
