DC Comics and Infinite Frontier #2 Spoilers and Review follows.

JSA, Batman / Superman x 2

…NEW Black Lantern Corrupted As…

…Darkseid Looms!

We open on Earth 0 in the Hall of Justice that doubles as the Justice League’s HQ and a tourist attraction.

We’re also reminded that Superman’s secret identity remains public knowledge as…

…Agent Cameron Chase of the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO) is trying to figure out what is happening to the multiverse; she’s not willing to accept the World’s Finest word that they have it handled as she’s whisked away mid-sentence, wondering where Wonder Woman is, as Superman / Batman have a mission to undertake.

We then pivot to…

…the Hall of Heroes in the Bleed that connects or connected worlds in the multiverse as President Superman of Earth 23 is trying to figure out the Batman of the Flashpoint reality.

They head to Earth 22 and…

…share personal information as Thomas Wayne remembers he is the only survivor from the Flashpoint reality.

They are “greeted” on Earth 22 by Magog who they believe may no longer be reformed who wants them off his planet.

Back on Earth 0, the Justice Society of America (JSA) and Vandal Savage…

…investigate the missing next generation of the JSA as…

…Green Lantern Alan Scott and his son Obsidian Todd Tice head off to find them and their family member Jade Jennifer-Lynn Hayden.

At the same time, newly resurrected Roy Harper adds Black Lantern to his long list of nom de guerre as…

…he sees visions of Darkseid and the Psycho Pirate before he becomes corrupted and looks more corpse-like, his Black Lantern symbol changes the Omega symbol of Darkseid and seemingly heads to join them on Omega World?!

The book ends with Cameron Chase attempting to recruit a triumphantly returned Captain Atom to her side in this multiversal skirmish only to realize he’s from an alternate Earth.

He won’t go back to where he’s from because of Darkseid’s grasp and..

…detonates himself possibly taking Chase and the whole military base with him?!

The Pulse:

Lots of movement on lots of parallel storylines as the mysteries deepen. Its unfortunate the issue does not have one art team, but the styles were generally complementary. 7 out of 10.
