Marvel Comics and Avengers #50 Spoilers and Review follows.

Legacy Avengers #750 Looks To The Past With Prehistoric Avengers, The Present With An Unchained Squadron Supreme and The Future With The Multiversal Masters Of Evil!

The billed-as 92 page issue has a few variant covers below on top of the main cover above.

We also get a storyline catch-up and creators credits page to kick us off; there’s another creators credit that ends the book too.

We get a curious opening prologue with the Orb still sporting the dead Watcher’s eye on / in his chest.

Then in a second prologue we see a time-travelling Ka-Zar battling Kid Thanos…

…during the Avengers 1 Million B.C. era.

Chapter One begins with the conclusion of the World War She-Hulk storyline…

…that sees a Jennifer Walters return to form and even have time to do some lawyering and represent the Winter Guard’s Crimson Dynamo before the Russian Supreme Court.

Chapter Two continues the Avengers 1M BC story that has them easily defeat Kid Thanos.

Ka-Zar realizes this era is protected and uses his time-knife to get back to the present.

Watching all of this in the post is multiversal Doom Supreme who…

…who gets the idea to form the Multiversal Masters of Evil from Mephisto; that idea appears to take shape in Marvel Free Comic Book Day 2021 Avengers issue as a lead into this milestone issue.

As Ka-Zar travels to the present he see many other heroes of the past that became Avengers of other eras.

Chapter Three opens with Ka-Zar having his time-travel interrupted by time missiles…

…from an ominous armored intellect…

Chapter Four sees the Avengers’ Ghost Rider grapple with his nightmares and seemingly being unable to control his hellfire; he asks the Avengers to look after his brother if he dies.

Chapter Five promises new Avengers recruits, but…

…opens with the Squadron Supreme of America attempting to capture the Winter Guard’s Red Widow, but…

…Power Princess:

  • turns on Doctor Spectrum assuming his power diamond,
  • seemingly has also turned on Hyperion,
  • is no longer a puppet for Mephisto or Agent Coulson, and
  • possibly grows the ranks of Squadron Supreme (with or without America in its name) with the Red Widow?!

I wonder if Power Princess will lead a Squadron Sinister going forward and…

…an eventually freed Hyperion will lead a new Squadron Supreme?

We do get a multiversal Deathlok foretelling that the Jane Foster Valkyrie will be on the Avengers and readers seem to believe the same for Gorilla Man and recuperating Ursa Major of Winter Guard infamy.

With members of the Winter Guard being teased going to other teams, I wonder what happens to the OG team?

Chapter Six takes us back to Ka-Zar vs. the armored Howard Stark…

…who is from Earth 4111 and killed his son Tony Stark, among other things, to honor his immortality agreement with Mephisto.

However, the cost of immortality also had him become the Iron Inquisitor and protector of the Council of Red aka the Council of Multiversal Mepistos.

After Howard Stark’s history revealing rambling and Ka-Zar, whose time-knife is fried from Stark’s time missiles, why Stark was in this time period and it involves Galactus.

For Chapter Seven, a newly formed Multiversal Masters of Evil easily kills the Avengers 1M BC of parallel Earth 818.

Chapter Eight sees Namor seemingly join the Avengers too and bring a gift of a multiversal Deathlok who…

…categorizes this Ghost Rider as an Omni-Avenger and escapes with him to show in the devastation of prehistoric Earth 818 that saw its Age of Heroes snuffed out before it began at the hands of the Multiversal Masters of Evil.

Chapter Nine has the Multiversal Masters of Evil arrive on an Earth and readers learn its the core Earth 616 of Marvel as they are greeted by the Orb who he issue opened with.

He’s just there to watch, and names the the Multiversal Masters of Evil for readers (who can also check out their concept art as well as those of the Multiversal Avengers)…

…but can’t foretell his own death at Supreme Doom’s hands who take his Watcher’s eye power source.

We then have the Earth 616 location confirmed as the team is at the footsteps of Avengers Mountain; this Avengers base also gets a cool Marvel Handbook look inside, floor by floor, as an extra for the issue.

We also get the Chapter Nine title showing the Orb fade to black literally.

The Epilogue shows Ka-Zar as Galactus’ herald; it is not clear who long he has been so, how this impacted previous heralds like the Silver Surfer, as it appears Ka-Zar met Galactus after his battle with Howard Stark seemingly un the past of Earth 616.

That’s it for the main story.

The back-up story involves Thor in the fiftieth century…

…interacting with a boy who may become King Arthur of Excalibur legend.

The book ends on a tease of Avengers #51 which lands on shelves on December 22, 2021.

As tease of the debut of the Avengers companion series is also including with Avengers Forever #1 arrives in stores also on December 22, 2021.

The Pulse:

A mammoth satisfying read that ties up past storylines, ignites new ones, although how the short Thor back-up ties into anything is unclear as its by another author. Solid art teams all around. 8 out of 10.
