AEW All Out 2022 Saw How Many New Champions Crowned? Plus 2 BIG Returns!

Here was the full card for the PPV.

A few key developments occurred including 3 new champions of 7 title matches crowned per AEW.

AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship Match!

Tay Melo & Sammy Guevara (c.) vs. Ortiz & Ruby Soho!

Ruby and Ortiz were in a golf cart and ran down Sammy. Ruby blasted Tay with a garbage can and then carried her to the ring!

“This is the rubber match,” said Excalibur.

Ruby connected with a DDT on Sammy in the ring. Ortiz followed up with a Death Valley Driver on Sammy. Tay kicked Ruby as Sammy held Tay by the legs. Ruby used a back drop driver on Tay and then tagged in Ortiz. Sammy was turned inside out by a lariat from Ortiz.

Sammy launched Tay and Tay landed on Ortiz and spiked him with a Canadian Destroyer! Sammy followed up with a senton on Ortiz. Anna Jay snuck down to ringside and pulled Ruby Soho off the apron. Ruby was ready this time and rammed Anna Jay into the steel ring steps.

Tay superplexed Ruby off the turnbuckles and down onto Ortiz and Sammy on the arena floor! Anna Jay interfered, grabbing Ruby’s legs. Tay Melo used the Tay-KO to finish off Ruby and pin her!

FTW Championship Match!

HOOK (c.) vs. “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker (with “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard)!

“For those last few weeks these men have been calling out HOOK nonstop,” said Excalibur.

HOOK used a front trip on Parker. Menard jumped on the apron and distracted HOOK. Parker used the opportunity to hit HOOK with a cheap shot. Parker landed a snap suplex on HOOK.

HOOK headbutted Angelo after Angelo taunted him. HOOK tossed Angelo with Judo throws and then an exploder suplex. HOOK countered a brainbuster with RedRum and forced Parker to tap out!

Matt Menard jumped HOOK from behind after the match. Action Bronson was in the front row and he saw enough, jumping into the ring to give HOOK a hand. Bronson and HOOK stood their ground and Parker and Menard retreated.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match!

“The Bastard” PAC (c.) vs. Kip Sabian!

Taz joined the broadcast booth for this match.

“The first defense of the All-Atlantic Championship on US soil,” said Excalibur.

Sabian stomped on PAC in the corner. PAC planted Sabian with a body slam. PAC went to the top turnbuckle but Kip followed him up there. PAC shoved Kip to the mat but Kip fired back with a kick to PAC. Kip used a split legged moonsault on PAC on the outside.

PAC nailed Kip with a brainbuster on the arena floor! Back in the ring, PAC dropkicked Kip in the back of the head. PAC dropped Kip after a barrage of forearms. Kip planted PAC on the back of his head with a dragon suplex but PAC returned with one of his own!

PAC climbed to the top turnbuckle, looking for the Black Arrow, but Kip rolled out of the way to create distance. Kip crowned PAC with a DDT. Kip began talking to the box head that was sitting on the timekeeper’s table: “Tell me what to do.”

“This match has turned bizarre,” said Schiavone.

PAC knew what to do though and pinned Kip after the Black Arrow!

Tony Schiavone was at the top of the ramp to interview PAC.

PAC: “Well, Tony Schiavone, let me explain exactly what I’m looking for…”

PAC was interrupted by Orange Cassidy’s music! “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy walked onto the ramp!

PAC: “No, we have been here before, Orange Cassidy, and you know how that ended. You are not a wrestler. You are a joke. Get to the back of the line!”

Inside the ring, Kip Sabian cracked and began screaming at the box head, “This is your fault…”

…Casino Ladder Match!

ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli vs. ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta vs. Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Rey Fenix vs. Rush vs. Andrade El Idolo vs. Dante Martin vs. TBD!

The first man to pull the poker chip down wins the match!

Wheeler Yuta and Rey Fenix were the first two competitors.

Yuta shoved Fenix off the ropes. Yuta followed up with a tope suicida onto Fenix on a ladder that was propped up against the barricade.

Rush was out next.

Yuta climbed the ladder in the center of the ring but Rush pulled him down. Rush sent Yuta into the ladder with a belly-to-belly suplex. Rush took out Fenix on the outside with a flip over the top rope.

Andrade El Idolo was out next.

“This is bad for Wheeler Yuta and Rey Fenix,” said Excalibur.

Rush and Andrade set up three ladders. Andrade used a flipping powerbomb on Yuta from the top of the ladder and down onto another!

Claudio Castagnoli was the next entrant!

Claudio shoved Andrade off two ladders that were connected! Dante Martin was the next competitor out to the ring. Dante spring boarded off the ropes to the middle of the ladder. Dante fell onto Claudio’s shoulders but they spilled over the top rope and onto the arena floor.

Penta El Zero Miedo was out to the ring next! Penta El Zero Miedo spiked Dante with a Canadian Destroyer on the ramp! Penta rocked Claudio with a backstabber. Penta spiked Andrade with a Canadian Destroyer on the ladder. Rey Fenix jumped off the top turnbuckle with a frog plash to Rush through a table outside the ring!

Several masked men, cloaked in black, jumped into the ring. One of the men climbed the ladder and pulled down the poker chip. He unmasked and it was Stokely Hathaway. The men surrounded Stokely and laughed. They revealed themselves as Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, W. Morrissey, Lee Moriarty, and Ethan Page.

“Sympathy for the Devil” began to play while another masked man walked out to the ring. Stokely Hathaway handed the poker chip to the man in the devil mask, who Justin Roberts introduced as the joker entrant. The “joker” was declared the winner. He was about to unmask and then shook his head no.

“He has earned the next world title shot,” said Excalibur.

“That was massive. We need to try to find out who that was,” replied Taz.

AEW World Trios Championship Tournament Finals!

The Elite—Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks—Nick & Matt Jackson (with Brandon Cutler) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page & The Dark Order—Alex Reynolds & John Silver!

Don Callis joined the commentary team for this match.

Hangman and Nick Jackson traded offensive maneuvers, reaching a stalemate. They nodded at one another as a sign of mutual respect.

Alex Reynolds and Matt Jackson tagged in. Matt spat at Alex and Alex used a double leg takedown on Matt Jackson. Kenny tagged in and had a stare down with Hangman! John Silver grabbed a blind tag and put Omega in a wrist lock. Alex tagged in and they used their tandem offense on Kenny, going after his shoulder.

“I don’t like it but it’s great strategy,” said Don Callis.

Hangman tagged himself in but Kenny turned him around and nailed him with a chop. Hangman rallied back with a fallaway slam. The Bucks didn’t have any compassion and were all business, stopping Hangman before he could hit a springboard.

The Elite used a great combination, allowing Kenny to get a near fall on Page. Dark Order were singled out by the Elite, but Dark Order rallied back for a (very) near fall on Kenny Omega.

“This is awesome! This is awesome!” chanted the fans.

Kenny wiped out Hangman and the Dark Order with a terminator-dive over the top rope! The momentum shifted after Dark Order used a pendulum bomb on Matt Jackson. Luckily for the Elite, Kenny was there to break up the pin attempt on Matt Jackson.

Kenny used a V-Trigger and then a Tiger Driver 98 on Hangman for a two-count! Hangman answered with a buckshot lariat to the back of Kenny’s head! Kenny ducked and Nick blindsided Hangman with a buckshot lariat! Kenny went for the V-Trigger but Hangman avoided it. Kenny tried for a One-Winged Angel on John Silver but Silver countered it.

Hangman tried for a buckshot lariat but Kenny ducked and inadvertently hit John Silver! Kenny Omega was there to pin John Silver and The Elite became the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions!

“Kenny hasn’t lost a step and the Young Bucks are just as good as ever,” said Tony Schiavone.

“Kenny Omega was the difference maker,” replied Excalibur.

TBS Championship Match!

Jade Cargill (c.) (with The Baddies—Kiera Hogan & Leila Grey) vs. “The Fallen Goddess” Athena!

Stokely Hathaway was conspicuous by his absence.

After some interference, Athena smashed Leila into the steel guardrail. Jade fired off live rounds with uppercuts to Athena.

Athena connected with a crossbody press for a near fall on Jade. Athena went for the O-face but Jade countered it. Athena went over the top with a stunner for a near fall. Kiera tried to interfere but ate a kick from Athena. It was just enough of a distraction for Jade to flatten Athena with her Jaded finisher and then pin her!

“Jade Cargill is still undefeated,” said Excalibur…

Six-Man Tag…

Not going to share recap on this one, but zip to the end with a big return.

…Samoa Joe’s music played and he came down the ramp, knocking down Satnam Singh! Dax’s daughter skipped to the ring. She snapped Sonjay’s pencil in half! Dax hit Dutt with a lariat! Dax’s daughter added insult to injury and pinned Dutt…

ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe returned.

…AEW World Tag Team Championship Match!

Swerve In Our Glory—Swerve Strickland & “Limitless” Keith Lee (c.) vs. The Acclaimed—“Platinum” Max Caster & “The Five-Tool Player” Anthony Bowens (with Billy Gunn)!

Jim Ross joined the commentary team for this match.

Swerve grabbed Bowens’ ankle and tagged to Keith Lee. Bowens managed to crawl to the counter and tag his partner Caster.

Caster tried a shoulder tackle but Lee didn’t budge. Caster took down Lee with a hurracanrana.

“That shows you the strength of Max Caster. Not everybody can do that,” said Jim Ross.

The Acclaimed used tandem offense to send the champs to the floor. Swerve In Our Glory regrouped on the outside.

Caster tried to shake Lee’s hand but Lee began to bludgeon him. Swerve tagged in and hit a diving European uppercut on Caster. “Platinum” rocked Keith Lee with a diving cutter.

Bowens hit a neck breaker on Swerve Strickland. He followed up with a suplex on Swerve for a two-count. Bowens tweaked his knee. Billy Gunn gave him a quick pep talk and Bowens tried to shake it off. Strickland shoved Bowens off the turnbuckles sending Bowens crashing down on the arena floor. Swerve turned up the aggression and kicked at Bowens’ knee.

Keith Lee tagged in and he and Swerve used a knee breaker on Bowens. Keith Lee splashed Bowens for a near fall. Keith Lee hurled Bowens halfway across the ring! Bowens shocked Lee with a flipping neck breaker and then tagged in Max.

Caster connected with a diving crossbody press on Keith Lee for a near fall. Keith Lee tried to pounce Caster but Caster moved out of the way and Lee accidentally nailed Swerve! Lee kicked out Bowens’ leg from under him.

Keith Lee climbed to the top turnbuckle but Caster met him up there. Bowens followed Caster. The Acclaimed used an Avalanche Brainbuster on Keith Lee! Swerve wasted no time with a double foot stomp on Bowens for a near fall!

Swerve grabbed Bowens’ leg but Caster dropkicked Swerve from behind, making the save! Bowens grabbed Swerve from the outside and Caster hit the Mic Drop! Billy Gunn hopped onto the ring apron and got into Keith Lee’s face! Caster rocked Lee with a thrust kick! Caster hoisted up Keith Lee and then planted him!

Bowens hit the Arrival on Swerve and then Caster followed up with the Mic Drop! Keith Lee broke up the pin, saving Swerve!

Swerve nailed Caster with a Death Valley Driver on the apron! Swerve hit a back breaker on Bowens. Bowens’ knee gave out as Swerve was going to kick him in the head. It worked out in Bowens’ favor because Swerve hit Lee inadvertently. Swerve In Our Glory still managed to pull things together. Lee grabbed Bowens in a powerbomb position while Swerve jumped off the top turnbuckle with a foot stop. They finished off The Acclaimed to retain the gold in a phenomenal battle!

Four-Way for the AEW Interim Women’s World Championship!

Toni Storm vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (with Rebel) vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Hikaru Shida!

Storm kicked Hayter in the chest. Storm blasted Hayter with a dropkick right on target. Storm ran into the ropes but Baker tripped her up from the outside. Shida cradled Hayter for a near fall. Hayter grabbed Shida’s boot and applied the single crab. Baker used a sling blade on Storm and Shida.

Hayter uncorked a huge right elbow on Shida! Hayter smashed Toni Storm in the corner with another elbow. Hayter double suplexed Storm and Shida! Hayter got wrecked by a tope suicida from Toni Storm.

Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida chain wrestled in the middle of the ring. Rebel jumped in the ring but Toni and Shida hit her with a double headbutt!

Hayter and Baker seized the opening and attacked Shida and Storm from behind. Hayter carried Shida up the ramp and then planted her at the top of the ramp! Baker smashed Shida with a curb stomp on the ramp!

Inside the ring, Hayter choked Storm. Toni used a drop toehold on Baker and then a diving crossbody press on Hayter.

Shida returned from the back with two kendo sticks! Shida whacked Hayter and Baker with kendo shots! Shida spiked Hayter with a Falcon Arrow. Storm used a German Suplex on Baker. Hayter broke up the pin and nailed Storm with a tombstone piledriver! Baker curb stomped Shida for a near fall!

Hayter rocked Shida with the rip cord lariat and went to pin Shida but Baker pulled the ref out of the ring. Toni Storm used the Storm Zero on Hayter but Britt Baker tried to steal the pin on Hayter. Storm DDT’ed Baker. Then Storm DDT’ed Hayter and pinned her.

And new AEW Interim Women’s World Champion Toni Storm…

…AEW World Championship Match!

Jon Moxley (c.) vs. CM Punk!

Mox flipped off CM Punk.

“Mind games, as they say,” observed Jim Ross.

CM Punk shoved Mox into the corner and began to knee him. Moxley turned CM Punk around and walloped him with strikes. CM Punk caught Mox off guard with a roundhouse kick! CM Punk nailed Mox with the GTS for a near fall!

“That’s a major moment in this match-up when the Go-To-Sleep doesn’t put someone down for the three-count,” said Jim Ross.

CM Punk jumped at Mox with a tope suicida! CM Punk took the onslaught to Moxley, pummeling him through the fans. Moxley shoved CM Punk headfirst into the steel ring post!

“That could be another major moment of this match. Can CM Punk recover from that?” wondered Jim Ross.

Punk was busted wide open and Moxley went right after him with strikes and elbows. Moxley continued to pummel the laceration. Moxley countered Punk’s bulldog attempt with a knee breaker. Punk gouged at Moxley’s eye.

“Punk’s in desperate mode,” said Taz.

Moxley dropkicked CM Punk’s knee. Moxley followed up with a dragon screw and then a figure four. Punk spat at Mox and flipped him off!

Moxley spiked CM Punk with a piledriver for a near fall! CM Punk managed to get to his feet and sent Mox colliding with the steel ring post. Punk applied the Anaconda Vice but Mox escaped after biting Punk. Moxley went for the King Kong Lariat but Punk countered it.

CM Punk tried for the elbow off the top rope but Moxley baited him in and countered with the bulldog choke! Punk tried to kick out but Mox grabbed Punk’s foot and put him in an ankle lock. Punk grabbed the ring ropes but Moxley German Suplexed Punk.

CM Punk jumped to his feet and rocked Mox with a roundhouse kick. Moxley answered with a King Kong Lariat! CM Punk and Jon Moxley traded strikes. Moxley blocked the GTS and followed up with the Death Rider! CM Punk kicked out at the two-count!

Moxley put Punk in the bulldog choke again! Punk found the strength to lift Moxley up and hammer Mox with the GTS!

“Moxley is out, guys,” said Taz.

Punk hoisted Moxley for a second GTS and pinned him!

“It’s over! New champion!” said Jim Ross.

New All Elite Wrestling World Champion…CM Punk!

As Punk stood with the belt, the arena lights went out!

On the screen, the masked ‘joker’ from earlier in the night revealed himself to be MJF!

“I am the devil himself!” said MJF.

MJF walked onto the ramp! CM Punk held up his championship in the ring! MJF gestured around his waist, motioning for a championship belt and then flipped off the crowd.

“Well, the devil is back,” said Taz.

“What does this mean for All Elite Wrestling? We will find out Wednesday on Dynamite,” said Excalibur.
