While there were several bright spots to end the issue and usher in Dawn of DC (full spoilers here) a darkness still remains.
The epilogue teases Superman’s new status quo, Batman’s Failsafe challenges as well as Batman vs. Robin and the road to the Lazarus Planet event.
We then see Amanda Waller pleading with a group called the Council of Light whose identities remain a secret for now as they did when The Light was a foil in the Young Justice Animated series.
We also get teases of challenges coming from the super-heroes of an Earth without a Justice League.
The Light is ready to support Amanda Waller’s agenda as it aligns with theirs.
That agenda is to eradicate Earth’s metahumans with her multiversal Suicide Squad!
