UFC On FUEL TV: Barao vs. McDonald has wrapped up with Renan Barao retaining the Interim UFC Bantamweight Championship as he submitted Michael McDonald in the fourth round in the night’s main event. We have full results of the prelims and main card available. Here are some highlights from the night’s post-fight press conference.
The attendance for the event was 10,349 for a gate of $1.3 million, UFC President Dana White announced. According to White, the gate was a live gate record for Wembley Arena in London, the location of the event. It was the UFC’s first visit to the arena.
The night’s post-fight bonuses went to Tom Watson and Stanislav Nedkov for ‘Fight Of The Night’, Watson for ‘Knockout Of The Night’, and Renan Barao for ‘Submission Of The Night’. Each award was for $50,000, so Watson took home an additional $100,000 for his win over Nedkov.
White also came down hard on the use of TRT in the sport.
“If you are using TRT in the UFC, we are going to start testing the (expletive) out of you for the entire camp,” White said at the night’s post-fight press conference.
